Dr Xu is a Pain Specialist with a special interest in helping patients manage complex and persistent pain. With a background in minimal invasive procedures, he combines evidence based treatments with a compassionate, patient centred approach.
Dr Xu works closely with referring doctors and allied health teams to provide comprehensive care to achieve each patients’ goals and lifestyle.
Dr Chin-wern Chan completed his undergraduate medical and research degrees at the University of Western Australia. He went on to complete his specialist training in anaesthesia through the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. Following this he completed his pain medicine specialty training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth, Western Australia.
Dr Chan then completed further fellowships in anaesthesia and pain medicine both within Australia and North America. He attended the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Victoria where he had advanced training in paediatric pain medicine and anaesthesia.
Subsequently he was awarded a clinical fellowship scholarship by the University of Toronto in Canada. In Toronto he completed an anaesthesia and pain medicine fellowship at the Wasser Pain Institute based in Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. He also completed a procedural pain fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital.
Dr. Vyhunthan Ganeshanathan (Dr Ganesh in short) brings a unique blend of experiences as a private pain specialist, supervisor of pain medicine training, consultant pain specialist at Fiona Stanley Hospital, examiner for the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Dental School, University of Western Australia.
Dr Vincenzo Mondello is a dual qualified medical specialist in Pain Medicine and Psychiatry.
He completed his Psychiatry and Pain Fellowship training through the various tertiary hospitals in Perth before completing an Interventional Pain Fellowship through Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
With a tenure at Drug and Alcohol Services in Rockingham, Dr Mondello has also cultivated expertise in addiction medicine. Dr Mondello has been a Supervisor of Training for Pain Medicine Fellows and Psychiatry Registrars.
Dr. Kamran Malick is a dual-qualified FRACGP and FPMANZCA Pain Specialist, who has been serving the Perth community for over 14 years.
Dr. Kamran Malick is dedicated to the holistic and multidisciplinary management of chronic pain, emphasising the importance of continuity in patient care. He collaborates closely with primary care specialists and allied health professionals to create individualised pain management regimens.

Dr Michael Miu is a specialist pain medicine physician and specialist anaesthetist.
Michael grew up in Perth and graduated from medical school at the University of Western Australia. He then trained as a Specialist Anaesthetist for a further five years where he developed a special interest in acute and chronic pain management. Michael then underwent advanced specialist training in Pain Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital. He subsequently pursued an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship to refine his skills in minimally-invasive pain procedures for patients suffering from chronic pain.
Michael is passionate in helping his patients get better control of their pain to improve their quality of life. He collaborates with other specialists and allied health professionals to holistically manage your pain. He will listen attentively to your concerns and formulate an appropriate pain management strategy suitable for you.
Dr Darragh Fitzgerald is a dual-qualified specialist in Pain Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, he trained in medicine at Trinity College Dublin before completing dual specialist training in Emergency Medicine and Pain Medicine in Western Australia.
In 2023, Dr Fitzgerald was selected for an Interventional Pain Fellowship focused on minimally invasive techniques. He holds FPMANZCA Procedural Endorsement (Level 1–3) and is accredited as a Procedural Supervisor, reflecting advanced competence in interventional pain practice. He also ranked in the top three in his Pain Medicine Fellowship examinations across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
In 2024, Dr Fitzgerald founded the WA Pain Institute. He currently works as a consultant in the Emergency Department at Peel Health Campus and has previously held consultant pain medicine appointments at Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Hospital Group and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
