At Perth Day Hospital, patients can expect compassionate, expert care in a modern, comfortable environment. Our specialized team ensures a smooth experience, whether you’re here for pain management or endoscopy. From pre-admission support to recovery, we prioritize your comfort, safety, and well-being every step of the way.
To ensure your procedure goes smoothly, please follow these steps:
Your Anaesthetist will be in contact to give you specific fasting instructions.
Let your doctor know if you're taking blood thinners or diabetic medications - some may need to be paused before surgery.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Leave valuables at home. Bring your Medicare card, private health insurance details, and any relevant paperwork.
You must arrange for someone to drive you home, as you will not be allowed to drive yourself after sedation.
Perth Day Hospital accepts all major private health funds. If you have hospital cover, most or all of your procedure costs may be covered, depending on your policy. Please check with your insurer to confirm your entitlements and any out-of-pocket expenses.
We proudly support our veterans. If you’re a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold or White Card holder with an approved referral, your treatment is fully covered with no out-of-pocket cost.
We provide care for patients under approved workers compensation claims. Ensure your claim is accepted and paperwork is completed prior to your admission.
Admissions at Perth Day Hospital are designed to be simple and stress-free. Once your procedure is booked, you’ll receive detailed instructions and forms to complete. Our team will confirm your appointment and answer any questions. Please bring relevant documents on the day, including ID and insurance details. We’re here to support you through every step.
By choosing Perth Day Hospital, you agree to our Terms of Engagement, which outline your rights, responsibilities, and the scope of services provided.
